It’s a Random Summer Thursday!

It’s hot. You know that song–”Summertime, and the living is easy”? Well–I don’t think the writer ever knew a real summer. Summer in Maine, maybe? Summer in the Arctic? Summer in Alaska? Yeah. Summer here? Extremely uneasy. Or maybe I’m uneasy. Because the furnace-like summer has deprived me of my soul!
Sometimes, the only thing that makes you feel better about unchangeable things–like summer blast o’ heat–is a good rant!
I promised myself I wouldn’t wish the summer months away, but I’m adding this lovely photo because I need a little reminder of more comfortable days. :-)
Have a wonderful weekend! I hope you have a wiser attitude toward these over-hot days than I am able to manage. I’m going to work on a snowy scene. And read a book set in autumn. And throw every ice cube two hard-laboring ice makers can produce into the pool! And then leap in before the soupy water closes over them!
