Strange Summer

Posted By on July 18, 2011

I’m not complaining, and I know the heat will come back, but this morning we had the first sign of fall. I know it’s just a tease, but it made me so happy. The second the temperatures drop here, my tires need more air pressure. We had such a drop in temperatures, my poor car got confused. I know it’s not going to be real for another two months, and I don’t know why there are trees with their leaves changing already, but there’s hope–even for a person who’s not allowing herself to wish the summer away this year!

Yesterday, the high barely reached 80, and the low was 64, and the sleeping was delicious.

Wonder if the soupy pool cooled down. If I’m not dodging lightning today, I may find out, but first, I’m writing. Cooler weather brings me extra energy!

PS–Happy birthday to the world’s best brother-in-law! I wish you were here so we could fete you properly!
