It’s Friday!

And I’m considering a break. Not from work; from a diet. I’m in the mood for bacon and eggs, and I’d love a pancake! And some coffee that I haven’t made myself.
So, it’s a field trip work day. I’m planning to pack up the laptop, head out for a prodigious breakfast, and then mosey over to the coffee shop where I wrote most of A Conflict of Interest. Back then, it was owned by a mom and her several daughters, and it was a fun, noisy, welcoming place. I won’t even mention the danish nut cake. Since then, it changed hands and it wasn’t as pleasant, somehow. Time to find out if I imagined the less pleasant atmosphere. I’ve been lurking inside the air conditioned abode this week, but I’m ready to flee these walls and see how my “people” show up in a new office space!
