Hello, Friday!

How nice to see you! Except I have a busy weekend. I still need to write, so I’ll be leaving the laptop on to eye me with disapproval if I ignore it.  :-)

Last night, the temperature suddenly dropped, and it was so cool I could walk in my neighborhood. My girl and I went out to dinner, and she was reading the news off her phone as we drove. Apparently, nature improves your mood, and it turns out I have empirical proof. I actually need exercise or I get a little on the moody side. (Hmmm. My brother-in-law, who seems to think I can be somewhat moody, is laughing in my head as I type that.) Anywhooo–I do use the treadmill at the gym, and it’s better than not exercising at all, but I love walking in my neighborhood. I had a difficult time feeling like this was home after we moved here until I started walking. After I began to do two miles a night on the heart-busting hills, I somehow claimed the place as my home.

So–for this weekend, I want to get in word count and exercise and all the other stuff I don’t really want to do. Because I’m expert and content at being a hermit.

Oh–and one other thing–I’ve started Krista Davis’s The Diva Haunts the House. Already excellent–there seem to be supernatural goings-on in the haunted house Sophie’s making for the community. I assume there will be man-made causes, but who knows? Sophie’s former aunt-in-law haunts a portrait in her kitchen.

Wishing you a heady weekend!
