How do I love thee…

Posted By on October 13, 2011

Autumn, I mean, and this is why! Fuzzy jammys and socks! So comforting to wear, so cozy! The temps are supposed to climb tomorrow, so I’m guessing this is a one-day fuzzy-clothing extravaganza, but I’m wallowing while it lasts! It strikes me most romance writers post lovely photos of shoes and such.

I love handbags and socks. Hmmm.  We all have our “things!”

Because this blog is supposed to be about my writing life, I’m going to add links to two blog posts that have me thinking today. Michelle Styles and Donald Maass both shared some thoughts on adding warmth to a manuscript. I’m writing alpha males these days, and it’s a fine line between alpha and awful. I love what Michelle says about loving our characters. It’s basic to creating motivation, but one of those lessons I need to keep learning.

Off to work. I’m pretty sure all this cozy, cool comfort will draw words from my psyche! Roll on, words!

For a bit there the weather was so cold people were turning the heat on, but that didn’t last very long and we are back to higher temps.

Kailana, we have cold weather coming again. Yay! Around here, we have the battle of the thermostat, and it’s about to flip again. All summer, I’m battling for a degree lower. All winter, the beloved swears he’ll expire of hypothermia if we don’t turn up the heat. No heat!
