Random Friday
Posted By admin on October 28, 2011
I’m busy packing for this year’s writing retreat, so today’s a random post.
I checked in on that lovely orange tree. By the time I get back from the retreat, it’ll probably be bare. We’re due for rain in the next few days here. That usually washes the leaves right out of the trees.
Yesterday, I went to the coffee shop to meet a friend for lunch and to work a bit. First things first–I tossed my keys onto the table, and ran for the yummy coffee! Wouldn’t mind a little of that right now.
If I’d stayed home I would have finally started packing. My usual MO is to pack on the fly. Hence, the trips where I’ve packed only jammies. Or had to go buy a toothbrush. Or underwear. Long before Nordstrom’s came east, we visited my mother-in-law in the northwest. She introduced me to “The Bon,” the Bon Marche, and to Nordstrom. The beloved eventually forgave her!
Lastly, the baby was sick earlier this week. As you can see, she had a nurse of her own. Kitty feels sure that if he crowds her off the bed, she’ll feel better almost immediately!

Cats are the best sort of nurses.
My girl thinks so, too!
