Tuesday already?

Posted By on September 8, 2009

How’d that happen? I was working, determined not to take time to do anything else (other than buy our contribution to yesterday’s cookout–wait–the beloved fashioned his amazing potato salad with his own hands). And then we visited friends.

You can’t really force your family to partake of deadline monasticism. (Especially when the deadline is self-imposed. I’m longing to make this proposal so irresistible I end up under actual deadline.)

But I fell into the television after we came home. That is not good writerly behavior.

I haven’t even been reading. (Cue ragged sobbing.)

I understand filling the well, but I’m impatient because I’m after the misshapen well of words in this proposal I need to rewrite.

Rather than bemoan my slacking last night, I’ll just jump back into the file.

But–more distraction–has anyone noticed Fall knocking on the door? The leaves are definitely turning, and the sun has reached that lovely autumn tilt. (Hmmm. Guess that would be the earth doing the tilting.)

No more rambling. Back to work!

Unfortunately, I have noticed Fall knocking at the door. I’m ready for Spring. Wish we could skip Winter. I hate wearing layers of clothes, coats, shoes (vs sandals). I’ll stop whining!!!

LOL! I love wearing layers of clothes and coats. I love when I don’t care that my toenails are a mess because my feet are all cuddled up in cozy socks! I love the way the sun looks, working its way through orange and red and yellow leaves! And I love seeing all of you when the air is crisp and you’re all wearing bright orange sweatshirts, cause if it’s Saturday, it must be Vols football!
