The new floor looks like this when I turn away from the window...
I’ll post photos of my time away from blogging. I’ve really just been the gofer, but that takes time too, you know…
But it looks like this, when I catch the light from the window. In love!
I’ve also been reading one of my favorite genres–the cozy mystery. I’ve wanted to try writing one for years, and I finally have an idea that feels fresh and different than anything else I’ve seen. I’m just working on getting the right tone. You know how Michelangelo said he saw the angel inside the marble, and he just had to keep chipping away until he released it? Well, I’m not sure I’m finding angels, but I’m definitely chipping away. Finding your cozy voice is different than nuzzling into your romance voice.
I’m also starting a new romance project–in that lovely “Why, why, why?” phase. In the background, I have Deadliest Catch episodes playing on Netflix. Water, wind, and weather–conducive to working. (My daughter wrote a paper to the same soundtrack last week. I enjoy that genetic link!)
Oddly, I’m feeling a little multi-personalitied! (If that’s not a word, it should be!)
