Snow?
Posted By admin on January 17, 2013
I doubt it. But it’s in the forecast! Yay!
We’ve actually been caught in our second year of endless-summer winter. It’s mid-January, and the green grass is creeping up to overtake the brown. Two red birds have been singing and nesting beside my bedroom window. (I’m not good with actual bird types. They might be cardinals, because they look like the birds on St. Louis’s baseball uniforms). And, most telling of all, the peepers are peeping when I walk at night.
It’s difficult, restraining my frustration. Meanwhile, my beloved Texan friend, Karen Whiddon, has had two snowfalls. (No doubt Karma for me. Karen and I often trade weather forecasts we shoot from the screens on our phones, and I always boast when we have cooler weather.)
All this doubt, just to say, I so hope the forecast is right! I’d love to see a few snowflakes!
