Really Random

Today I found the fudge recipe I’ve searched for since I was 18. I used to make this when I was a kid, which is a little frightening when I think of the candy burns I would not want my own children to endure. It’s not the easiest recipe in the world, but it’s too delish to believe, and it reminds me of good days. I’ve saved it in several places, and I’m linking here. You might enjoy, but also I’ll be able to find it easily!
I’m reading several books right now. All of them mysteries. All of them calling to me in their own voices right this very minute.
I worked like a crazy woman on Friday into Saturday morning. Almost 3000 words, which always makes me happy. But for the rest of Saturday and all of Sunday, I’ve done a bad, bad thing. I don’t actually feel guilty, but I’m sad that I watched all of Foyle’s War on Netflix. Please, Foyle’s War makers, bring me more!
I also had a Valentine’s Day gift on Saturday morning. The beloved belongs to a Harley Owner’s Group (HOG). Saturday morning, they had a fundraiser–a pancake breakfast. I don’t do a lot with his HOG group, because I have no interest in bikes. I don’t like bugs in my hair or on my face, and I rode enough with brothers and cousins to consider I’ve had all the free passes Karma allows for bike disasters. So, the beloved was teasing me about having RSVPd for both of us. Usually, he goes on a ride afterward, or hangs out talking chrome or watching the latest rider’s class, so I pass up these opportunities. But, he teased me enough that I thought maybe I should go. He came upstairs to get ready just as I was slathering on the face so as not to embarrass him in front of people. He asked me where I was going, and I asked him if we weren’t doing the pancake breakfast. He got the biggest grin, and said, “Oh, good,” in the happiest voice. That moment that makes me laugh with joy every time I think of it. Best Valentine’s gift in the world. In a relationship as long-lasting as ours, I sometimes forget…

Where is the link for that delish fudge recipe???
Hey! Click here. It takes a little while to make, but it’s oh so worth it!
Giri, I wondered about your writing progress – so glad to hear you got 3k words – that’s amazing! Also very cool on the pancake breakfast!
I’m startled I didn’t ply you with info on my progress!
And about the pancakes, I’m wondering if Steve can’t fish the recipe out of the guy who made them. Fluffiest pancakes ever, and they served sausage as well. I don’t even like sausage as a rule, but that stuff was yummy! Hmmm. I wonder if we should have breakfast for supper tonight!
