Just Another Random Monday

Posted By on October 4, 2010

Did you ever spend two days away from your family and come home to find yourself plain excited to see them? I just did. I was at a conference this weekend where Michael Hauge spoke about eliciting emotion from readers. Because I’m in awe of everything he said, today’s random post will be a quick one. I have to put his teachings to work!

First, the weather since I so often whine about it. Right now, it’s 45 degrees outside. True, there’s sun (my favorite days include precipitation), but it’s so lovely to write this from my bed, wrapped in the comforter. And somehow, the beloved forgot that he could turn on the heat, so the house has a nice chill, too. What a lovely start to this lovely day!

The Ryder Cup is playing on the DVR. I love this tournament. It matters so much to the players. The lucky folks who get to watch from Wales are excited and happy. Even though our (USA) team is not doing so well (at this moment on my DVR anyway), what a great atmosphere. (I love emotion!)

And this post just got even more random. My girl has demanded eggs and bacon. Apparently, only a mom can make them. And–I’m so happy to be with her again. I must run.

Wishing you all a perfect start to your week, with weather you love, utter happiness in whatever is happening in your life, and–if you’re a writer–a flood of the most emotion-invoking words in your arsenal!
