West Virginia Writers, Inc. Conference

Posted By on February 24, 2011

I received this note from Deborah Crim, and I thought I’d post–for writers who want to donate–and for writers who’d like to attend.

West Virginia Writers, Inc. is the largest non-profit writers’ resource and service organization serving literary interests in West Virginia. We are founded on the fundamental principle that the written word is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of all human endeavors. Our aim is to expand and develop creative writing and professional opportunities for writers and to connect the state’s writers with others in the literary community and the public at large.

Every year we sponsor both a writing competition and a writers’ conference. Held in June at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, the conference offers writers three days of over fifty writing workshops, presentations and panel discussions suited to the needs of poets and writers of all genres, all ages and all experience levels.

Additionally, each attendee receives a WV Writers tote bag full of writing publications and writing-related useful information. Now, let us get to the purpose of this note. We would be honored to include in this “goody bag” any promotional materials you would be willing to provide to us. We anticipate an attendance of around 200.

We get a lot of bookmarks, pens, anything that would promote your books. This will give you more exposure and maybe future sales.

Thank you in advance and I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Deborah Crim
