Wahoooo! It’s Friday!

Mind you, that doesn’t mean as much when you work from home. The work is always there. You can’t really close the office door because with writing, so much of your office is in your head. Demanding to be let out.  🙂

Nevertheless, it’s Friday, and tomorrow, my local writer’s group meets, and I’m going.  I love being with other writers. The excitement rubs off, and the sense of it’s being my business to do my business is always a good thing to reinforce. (My–the way I loose the bonds of clarity in a blog post.  But I’m not editing. Doing enough editing elsewhere right now!)

I keep forgetting to add what I’m reading:  Two books–Queen Isabella by Alison Weir and Taken for Revenge, Bedded for Pleasure, by India Grey. Loving both of them tooooo much! Alison Weir is my favorite biographer, and I’ve enjoyed her new forays into fiction as well. I’m feeling for Queen Isabella right now.  Talk about marrying into a hornet’s nest. And at one point yesterday, I put Inda Grey’s book aside to say, “Man, she’s good.”  Her hero did something so heroic. I don’t want to give it away, but I was in awe.

I have to put the Kindle out of my reach–which actually means leaving it at home when I head for my usual table at B&N. (“Usual table” generally means a spot in a place with more wicked possibilities, doesn’t it? Or have I been watching too much noir in the wee hours of the a.m.?)
