Random Saturday

Watching Criminal Law with my favorite actor in the whole wide world, Gary Oldman. Rather an odd movie, and yet, Gary is so beautiful! And he could make Mr. Greenjeans into a character to watch. (Not that I didn’t enjoy Mr. Greenjeans as a child. Is that how he spelled his name? This may be running a touch toward the too random!)

Behold–to the right–a random photo–our neighborhood just before a storm when I was walking a few weeks ago. Amazing sky.

Discovered this week that one of my professors from college is doing an amazing blog. He discusses books and film and sports (and other stuff). Take a look at today’s post, “Bill Belichick as Professor Moriarty.” You’ll enjoy the workings of Robin’s mind. I’ve especially enjoyed the film posts. When I was in college a group of us used to meet at the campus’s elderly theatre for a movie night. I would never have seen Rebecca on the big screen (other than the beloved’s monument to HD massiveness that takes up most of our family room) if not for that group.

I miss school.

My girlie was on the kiss cam at a hockey game this week. Sadly, she had to manhandle her beau into a kiss. She’s so delicate!  :-) (A word to the beau–I wouldn’t cross her!)

Reading, reading, reading. I am working on my next proposal, but I’m also wallowing in books. Tons of my own genre, romance–because I’m a sucker for passion and drama–and love, Emma–because I love that Jane Austen can make me love such an unlovable character, and A Christmas Carol, because CD makes me forget to analyze.

Now to the kitchen–where I’m attempting Shepherd’s Pie, via recipe consultations from two friends who find the kitchen a friendlier place than I!
