Monday, Again?

Posted By on December 17, 2012

Apparently, I’m not a blogger or a correspondent, or a holiday shopper, or a chef. Do your days fill up with stuff, but then at the end, you go–”What did I do today?”

The last few days, I’ve been reading a book for my CP, Karen Whiddon, and let me tell you, if you don’t rush to buy The Broken Wolf when it comes out, you’ll be missing a gift from an excellent writer. I’m going to fess up here that I haven’t been reading a lot of romance lately. I stopped because endings were making me feel kind of “meh.” But I came, skidding to the end of Karen’s ms., a bit tearfully, because the ending was beautiful. And I literally emitted an “Ahhhhhhh.” The readers among us know how valuable an “Ahhhhhhhh” is. I’ll post again when it comes out because you’ll want to enjoy this story! In the meantime, Karen has quite a backlist. Try something–you won’t be sorry!

Today, I’m editing a story of my own, but I also have some shopping and cleaning to do. (I could write a book in the dust on my dresser. I can’t raise up a flower garden, or tomatoes, but what I do with dust is a stinking phenomenon!) Plus, I need to remove the cedar chest from the foot of my bed. It’s not so much a chest as a laundry receptacle. Since I use it to hold my clean clothing, I apparently feel no need to fold. Either the chest has to go or I have to change my slovenly ways, and since I don’t trust my own ability to become a folder of laundry, I’m thinking I need to get hold of a forklift and remove the chest.

And that’s a full Monday!

Aww thanks, Anna. I took the day off today to Christmas shop for my hubby. I still need to get groceries. Sigh!

Thank you for letting me read a great book!

And as for your first day out of the writing cave, a woman can only do so much! You can always go out to eat, but what hubby likes to peer beneath an empty Christmas tree? ;-)
